Former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf is planning to return to politics. Pervez Musharraf had taken a break from politics due to his deteriorating health.
Pervez Musharraf, who heads political party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML, is now set to make a comeback announcement on October 6 – the APML’s foundation day.
Pervez Musharraf, apart from his comeback to politics announcement, he will also address his party members through a video call from Dubai on October 6.
Pervez Musharraf kept his political endeavours on a back burner after suffering from amyloidosis – a disease caused by a build-up of amyloid proteins in the heart, kidneys, liver or other organs.
However, after being treated and feeling better, Pervez Musharraf is all set to make a comeback to politics.
APML general secretary Mehreem Malik said, “The former president [Pervez Musharraf] had received medical treatment at a hospital in London for 12 days last month. Now he is feeling better and is back at his residence in Dubai”
Mehreem Malik said that since Pervez Musharraf’s return to Dubai, he has had meetings with the party officials.
“He will fully resume his political activities with the consultation of doctors. He is being examined by a team of doctors every day,” Mehreem Malik said.
“Musharraf will address the party’s 9th foundation day ceremony in Islamabad through a video call on October 6,” Mehreem Malik added.
