In its report to the EC, it states leading celebration leaders made contributions of over 20,000 each in 2019-2020
The Congress got 139.01 crore in contributions in 2019-2020, that included 31 crore from Prudent Electoral Trust, 25 crore from Jankalyan Electoral Trust and 13 crore from ITC Limited, according to its contribution report sent to the Election Commission.
Top celebration leaders, including its president Sonia Gandhi and previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, along with ex-Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia who left the celebration to sign up with the BJP in March 2020, made contributions of over 20,000 each to the celebration in the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Meanwhile, ITC Limited was amongst the leading factors to the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADM in 2019-2020, according to its audited yearly accounts report sent to the EC. The celebration stated an expense of 28.83 crore and earnings of 86.60 crore, of which 46.77 crore originated from Progressive Electoral Trust and 5.39 crore from ITC.
The All-India Trinamool Congress stated 143 crore as its overall earnings, of which contributions and contributions were 108.54 crore, in its audited yearly accounts report for 2019-2020 sent to the EC. The celebration stated it invested 74.65 crore in election expense that year.
