A CCTV footage showing three men carrying bags containing slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s body parts have been broadcasted by a Turkish television channel.

The video shows three men carrying five suitcases and two black bags into the home of the Saudi consul general in Istanbul.

Khashoggi’s death had escalated into a crisis for Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, which at first denied any knowledge of or role in his disappearance on October 2.

Khashoggi, a 59-year-old columnist for The Washington Post, vanished after entering the consulate in Istanbul to pick up paperwork for his upcoming marriage to his fiancee, who was waiting for him outside.

A critic of the Saudi royal family, Khashoggi had been living in exile in the United States.
